CERIENCE HOSTS SYSTEME U

On October 20th, the Cérience factory in Cissé near Poitiers had the pleasure to welcome Dominique Schelcher, President of Système U, accompanied by Bertrand Morand, in charge of the sector and partnership, and Thierry Desouches, spokesman of the company.

This visit was the first step of a "road trip" to discover the Terrena cooperative and its subsidiaries.

Let's remember that Système U and Terrena have been collaborating since 2014 for the production of U-NA (U Nouvelle Agriculture) products distributed in U stores; this partnership concerns pork, rabbit and chicken.

During this meeting, Cérience presented its activities around seed production, the first link in the food chain.

We also presented our solutions and ambitions to take up the new challenges undertaken with the Terrena 2030 project, which concern 3 main areas :

• Protein autonomy
• Carbon neutrality
• The reduction of phytosanitary products

These talks ended with a visit to the Cissé industrial site to better understand and apprehend the stages of development of a certified seed: reception, sorting, techno-seeds, packaging and logistics
