HAWKS AT THE SERVICE OF QUALITY!
In agriculture in general and among seeders in particular, nuisances related to birds are a daily reality!
As part of its ongoing quality improvement plan, Cérience places great emphasis on pest control (insects, rodents, birds…) and uses a falconry company.
At the beginning of July, while our service provider was working on the seed production site at Cissé (86), it presented its birds and its unusual job to employees!
In order to regulate the pigeon population, our provider has planned 15 interventions per year and, starting next January, the installation of a kestrel nest.
After a few interventions, the effectiveness of the birds of prey is already remarkable!
The nuisance caused by pigeons is drastically decreasing. Furthermore, with the decline of the pigeon population, the native bird species that had given up their place should come back and restore the ecosystem.
