CARBURE

Common vetch

Common vetch is ideal for catch crops!

Fonctionnal benefits

  • Early biomass production
  • Very high production potential
  • Good resistance to diseases including aphanomyces

The benefits in detail

Early biomass production:

  • CARBURE produces biomass earlier than other common winter vetches.
  • This early spring production makes it the ideal partner for a catch crop or early-cut meslin.

Very high production potential:

  • At the time of its registration, CARBURE stood out for its production potential in forage and grain (122% and 136% respectively vs. controls).
  • Its vigorous establishment and earliness ensure a high proportion of common vetch in fodder when grown as a mixture.

Good resistance to diseases including aphanomyces:

  • CARBURE is an aphanomyces-resistant variety.
  • It can therefore be grown on plots with PI (Infectious Potential) greater than 1 or introduced into a rotation that includes susceptible species (peas, lentils).
