Benefits in detail
-
Green fodder production in autumn and winter:
- Forage cabbage is a highly productive species (5 to 10 t DM/ha) that provides green fodder for several months.
- PROTEOR is a half-honeycomb type that provides abundant, rich foliage and is characterised by its good resistance to cold.
A rich forage, but to be introduced gradually and in rationed quantities into the ration:
- Rich in energy, forage cabbage is also rich in soluble nitrogen.
- It should therefore be introduced gradually into the ration (a transition period of 5 to 15 days) and fed in reasonable quantities (max. 30% of the ration's D.M.).
- A fibrous forage is recommended as a supplement.
